How it all began : travel across the USA with a french baguette under your arm

Several times, we traveled the US, road trip style.
We stopped in many town, and loved to go out for the evening, in bars and pubs, to talk to people.
Usually, people we met were living in the town, or they were living in the USA.

Our ice breaking routine were often like that :
  1. I would said : "- Hello ! Cheers !" to our neighbors in the bar, standing up my glass of beer
  2. They would understand we were not american (what ? what about my accent ?)
  3. They would ask from which country we were coming from
  4. We would answer : France
  5. And then, after two or three chit-chat, they would ask : "How is it to live in France ?"


Many times, I explained a few things that we are eating and doing daily in France.
Our American evening friends would listen to me, and then they would say :
- Hey Olivier... I don't know what you are talking about ! but if I find it tomorrow in a shop of our town, I will try it for sure !"

Of course, they didn't know what I was talking about. We have indeed in my Country, many specials things (like in each Country).

During those discussion, we would watched online if we could order it from the US. And sometimes, Yes ! That was possible !

The french products we were talking about were orderable in the USA (stored and delivered from the US, in the US).
